Muslimah Magic

Image
Stay connected with your sisters worldwide Would you like to know the latest news, trends, business ventures, and accomplishments from amazing Muslim women and girls from all over the world? Muslimah Magic app keeps you updated and connected with the latest in music, entertainment, sports, health, politics, food, design, fashion, business and philanthropy from Muslim women and girls worldwide. I developed this app after being inspired by so many stunning, ambitious and talented Muslim women and young girls that I know and have discovered via the internet. I felt like there should be a place just for us, where we can call our own and all stay connected and see what each other has going on and also meet other Muslim women from other parts of the world. I wanted to create a virtual hub, sisterhood and networking sanctuary for like-minded women that share a common lifestyle and that can identify with each other on a spiritual and business level. I feel like Muslim women and girl...
The same celebrities talking about Black Lives Matter are the same ones that break their neck to spend every dollar on Gucci, Prada, Versace, Christian Dior, etc. These are all NON black companies that have done absolutely nothing for black people and NEVER WILL. Put your $ where your mouth is. BLACK DOLLARS matter too. Must I mention how they also got rid of their BLACK NOSES as soon as they stepped foot in Hollywood. Pick a side! If they walk, talk and look FAKE, yes maam/sir THEY ARE FAKE! I didn't just become proud of being black. I've been loving and embracing my black features my whole life, my wide nose, my brown skin and natural curves. I've been speaking about the plight of my black people in my music since day one, black women, black men, black hairstyles, black problems and black joy. I celebrate my blackness every chance I get. I don't know anything else. It's what both of my black parents instilled in me since birth. I've been supporting and ment...

I am in no way, shape, form or fashion affiliated with the Nation of Islam. I have never stepped foot inside of a NOI temple in my life, never been in MGT (Muslim Girls Training), or been to a Saviours Day Celebration a day in my life. I have no earthly idea what Saviours Day is. All I've ever practiced is orthodox Islam, the way of the Prophet (PBUH). My parents are both Sunni muslims that practice the Sunnah and have followed the Five Pillars of Islam since the 1970s. I do admire the truth and light that Brother Farrakhan and Elijah Muhammad have shared with all of us. I find some honesty in some parts of their teachings. I just wanted to clarify this because some people don't know the difference and aren't aware that all black American muslims are not affiliated with the Nation of Islam. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and can wear their hijab whichever way they choose to. To each his/her own. May Peace be Unto All.

Public Service Announcement

People on the Internet can say some really mean and hurtful things sometimes. But the way my IDGAFaboutyouropinioness is set up, I refuse to allow myself to be offended by something that a stranger that doesn't even know me personally is typing behind a phone or computer screen. I can't believe there's actually grown men and women out here allowing themselves to be offended by something someone said online. I just can't wrap my mind around the concept of having my feelings hurt by a person that never even met me. Lol. If that aint the most ridiculous and absurd thing I've ever heard of. Majority of the time a person isn't even talking to or about you, they're making a general statement that you just assumed and thought was about you because you're insecure, have low self-esteem or it may have applied to you. If the shoe fits, rock it! People usually are only mad about something being said if it's true. You give the statement power when you give it ...

I wrote this song in 2010. It was part of my 'humble beginnings' mixtape that I released in 2013. I'm glad to see that other artists can relate to the lyrics even six years later. Fast forward to 1:36 "It's BIGGER than you, it's BIGGER than me. It's even BIGGER than us, it's BIGGER than we."  #godblessthechildthathasherownlyrics #isaiditsixyearsago #inspiredbyjehania #yourfavoriteartistsfavoritewriter #celebrityghostwriter #inspirationforthelegends #jehaniaalwayssaysitfirst #poetsinceagesix #brownskingirlmocha2015 #recycledlyrics #putsomerespeckonmypen

In My Shell dress

Image
I am so happy to present to you the ……… In My Shell dress, custom designed and handmade by yours truly, Jehania. I made this dress by hand with no pattern and no sewing machine in four days. I sat down with a friend of mine about two months ago and discussed what I should wear in the Beards and Locs video. I really didn’t put too much thought into the outfit for this video at first. I was going to just buy a cheap little dress from Goodwill and call it a day. Then he was like “No, you gotta come harder than that.” So I took a trip to the fabric store, my second favorite place after the studio. I knew what kind of fabric I wanted to work with but I didn’t have a definite design in mind. It wasn’t until after I purchased the fabric that I sat down and sketched the design for this dress. Some people don’t know that at one point in my life I was very serious about having a career in the fashion industry. This isn’t something that I just started doing. I’ve been sewing and making clot...
