Sweet Georgia Peach
This year made ten years that I've lived in Georgia, The Peach State. I guess I've developed a Southern accent after being here for a decade because my brother always tell me "Dang, you sound so country!" 😂 I can't help it. I've lived in the South my whole life. If anyone would've told me ten years ago when I moved to Georgia that I would start wearing hijab in 2019, break into the film industry and become an actress in 2021, and in three years work on 30+ major productions along side the biggest names in the industry *without an agent or manager*, have to turn down productions because I was so overly booked, make history as the First Hijab Wearing Muslim Actress in Hollywood, stand in the same room as Angela Bassett, The Rock, Winona Ryder, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael B Jordan *and his mother*, Regina Hall, Pierce Bronson, Donald Glover, etc. etc. etc., start my own production company, and write, direct, produce and star in my own production, I wouldn't have believed them. I never had any plans to do any of those things. I never had a goal or dream of being an actress. That's why as Muslims we always say "Insha Allah" before and after making any future plans, which means "God willing" or "If God wills" in Arabic, because we make plans for our lives and then God makes plans for us as well. Sometimes God's plan supercedes our own and is bigger and better than what we could have ever imagined, dreamed and hoped for. He'll place you exactly where you belong and need to be to answer your calling, fulfill your purpose and bring forth His will and Divinely orchestrated plan but only at His Divine Timing. I came to Georgia by myself on the Greyhound bus with literally nothing but a duffle bag, Obama phone, twenty five dollars, an apple and some peanut butter crackers. Some things didn't go as I had planned but everything still ended up working out in my favor hence why I have no regrets at all about anything. I still remember a family member that told me when I first moved here that I should change my last name because according to them, I wouldn't be able to find a job in Georgia with the last name Muhammad. The way my parents parenting style was set up though, I was always taught to be my unapologetic, authentic self no matter where I went or what I did in life. #MyNameIsMyName #SinceBirth 💯 Ms. Muhammad stayed booked and busy all 2021 - 2022 with all the legends and stars. Thank you to the Georgia film industry and all of my beloved, supportive, awesome acting friends and colleagues. You've changed my life forever. Thank you to all the publications that have interviewed me allowing me to tell my story. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to my cast and crew for believing in me and my vision and being so patient with me. I love you all from the top, middle and bottom of my whole heart. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😘 I'm so excited and can't wait for everyone to see what my team and I have been working on here at Jehania's World. I haven't even gotten my pinky toe wet when it comes to acting. I'm just getting started. I'm just a little moozlum girl from Raleigh with a big imagination, that loves music, fashion and love to write, dance, laugh, joke, dress up in costumes and impersonate people.
*THIS ISN'T A HALLOWEEN COSTUME BUT IT CAN BE IF YOU WANT IT TO BE. This is in celebration of my ten years living in The Peach State. It's been one helluva ride. Cheers to a decade in Georgia. 🥂 Ten years down, many more to go!
I wasn't born in Georgia so I'll never be a real Georgia Peach but I am a ten year Georgia resident and being a Sweet Georgia Peach for a day is still fun!
🍑 Life is Sweet in The Big Peach 🍑
